It has been launched in India since the latest phone from Nokia brand owner HMD Global. The new feature phone may be an updated version of the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic that was launched in August 2007. It offers dual SIM support and offers a maximum battery life of 22 days on a single charge. The Nokia 5310 is also preinstalled with an MP3 player and wireless FM radio. The Nokia 5310 Dual-SIM (Mini) runs with the 30+ OS series and has a 2.4-inch QVGA display (240 x 320 pixels). Under the hood, the phone is equipped with a MediaTek MT6260A SoC, which is assigned 8 MB RAM. The phone has 16 GB of onboard memory that can be expanded with a microSD card (up to 32 GB). For photos and videos, the Nokia 5310 has a VGA rear view camera and an LED flash.

HMD Global offered connectivity options, including Bluetooth v3.0, micro USB connector and 3.5mm headphone jack. As already mentioned, the Nokia 5310 also supports wireless FM radio. There is also a removable battery that is designed for a talk time of over 20 hours or a standby time of up to 22 days on a single charge. In addition, the Nokia 5310 measures 123.7 x 52.4 x 13.1 mm and weighs 88.2 grams.

HMD Global cited data from the International Data Corporation (IDC) in a virtual briefing Monday, saying that over 130 million users in India are already buying 2G phones. The company, which quotes data from Facebook, also said that the country also has more than 97 million users who have an “affinity for listening” to music on their phones.
