I have been playing gacha games long enough, I know when a developer is genuinely providing some decent freebies. The Honkai Star Rail 3.2 patch spearheaded April 89, 2025 allowed players to receive reward gifts as candy in the second anniversary of the game.
It was on one weekend that I had to figure out how to get all of it with no beat dropped. Here’s what I learned.
Table of Contents
What You are Really receiving freely.
Hereby the terms: It is not a case of here is 50 high quality money and good-night. The anniversary incentives in 3.2 are not in vain to attend.
To start with, you are receiving 1,600 Stellar Jades simply because you came there. That is no pleasant life-altering thing, but it is a good piece of ground to next draw. And 10 Fuel (stamina, name wise) and 20 Golden Star Rail Passes at no cost. The real prize? A character selection with a 5-star option of your choice between Ruan Mei and Luocha.
I accompanied Ruan Mei- she is a universal asset and can improve any team. However, in the case of more difficult material and you lack a good healer, you need Luocha. He makes teams live when bosses begin hitting like trucks.
The Redeem Codes Nobody Talks about.
Here is another detail that I barely did not notice: lives redeeming codes which provide you with free materials and Stellar Jades. These expire, so grab them now:
- FIGHTWELLMYDEI – 3 Traveler Guide, 2 Golden Honeycake.
- STARRAILGIFT – 50 Stellar Jades
- HSRCASTORICE – 3 Feed, 2 Redsoil traveler, 3.
- IGHAT UPESCRITES – 60 Stellar Jades, 1 Fuel.
- WHEREISTRIBBIE – 3 Travelers Guide, 2 Oronyx Slate.
- LS342LYLC5FP – 50 Stellar Jades, 10,000 Credits.
That would be 160 Stellar Jades in aggregate and a load of upgrade materials. Redemption takes around five minutes to get them all redeemed by using the game settings.
Triple Drop Events: This Is Where It Gets Good.
The real money-saver in 3.2? The Planar Fissure and Strange Realm happen with the tripled reward drops. I spent two consecutive days farming materials in this event and prepared enough to build a new character to the full before spending stamina weeks later.
So, my plan looks like this: there will be Caverns of Corrosion operations within the period of the bonus round. These domains release relic sets which can be used in many different characters, and thus you do not have to farm niche items where only a certain unit benefits.
You want to save your stamina to it, in particular it is, about, three times as productive as at any other hour as farming is.
In addition, visit Echo of war domains at the time of triple drop. These provide trace materials which you will require during the leveling of character abilities later.
The New Standard Pool Characters.
This was a little bit under the radar to many of these players: three former restricted 5-star characters Blade, Fu Xuan and Seele were permanently introduced to the Standard Character pool in 3.2.
What this translates to: you are now able to lose your 50/50 pity to more legitimate characters than to the typical stock pool characters. Besides, version 3.2 allows you to tailor your 50/50 loss pool. I adapted mine to contain Seele because I have been desiring her months back.
It is not much, but it can reduce the gacha by a significant margin when you fail that coin toss.
The Shop System of Duplicate Characters.
Once you have spent sometime playing the game, and you already have characters at the Eidolon 6 (max duplicates), another shop system is in place where any surplus duplicates are converted to special currency. This currency can be exchanged to 5 star characters such as Ruan Mei or Luocha.
The cool part? It’s retroactive. Being a returning user, I was already having currency ready after the update due to my past duplicate pulls. Look in your shop now you may have time to snatch somebody.
The Quality-of-Life Things that Matter.
The 3.2 version also introduced a few behind-the-scenes enhancements that will save an inordinate amount of time:
- Auto-Salvage Function – Automatically sells low tier relics so your inventory does not go nuts.
- Smart Discard Feature – Allows you to pull down a group of 5-star relics and delete them en-masse, rather than one-by-one.
- Mass Superimposition – Companies upgrade several 4-star Light Cones at once.
These are monotonous, yet I now had at least a 30 minutes reduced inventory management time every week. It adds up.
My Realized Maximizing Strategy.
To milk it I did the following:
- Sold off every code at a single blow.
- Chosen (universal value) by the picker Ruan Mei.
- Caverns of Corrosion continuously in triple drops.
- Disposed half my Stellar Jades as fodder to-day interest instead of wasting it all on 3.2 characters.
- Ransacked the junk with the new auto-salvage system when farming.
This triple drops anniversary timing making this so-called perfect storm in which free-to-play players can cause real creation of their team without money expenses. Two complete-built characters were added to my rotation without me having to open my wallet.
Bottom Line
Honkai Star Rail 3.2 is updating to give you enough free that it is possible to spend even a break with it. Anniversary rewards, triple farming events, and a better quality of life make it the most ideal time to play to gain progression.
But those redeem codes, just be sure to not fall asleep on them they go away and you will regret not getting those free pulls.
