I worked too long tuning up relics for Jiaoqiu, and this is what I learned the hard way: this man has a strange build. He isn’t like the commonplace support characters you slap speed boots on and they are good to go.
Jiaoqiu has a best build in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2, which requires special statistics, or he is an absolute burden on your team.

What Makes Jiaoqiu Different
Jiaoqiu’s kit revolves around his Ashen Roast debuff. It accumulates five times, triples enemy vulnerability by 35%, and strikes Fire DoT at 90s of his ATK. His Ultimate forms a Domain zone in which enemies essentially give your Acheron a stack of free damage simply by taking their turn.
First, I tested him with the Acheron team, and the difference was night and day. I would find it difficult to spam Acheron’s Ultimate before Jiaoqiu. With him? She is dropping her nuke nearly every turn.
The Stat Priority You Actually Need

In the case of Acheron Teams: 2-piece Messenger Driving Hackerspace + 2-piece Pioneer Diver Dead Waters. The speed boost helps you keep the order in turns, and the damage amp against a debuffed opponent is hot.
To DoT Teams: Jiaoqiu, Be a Damage Dealer with the Help of the 4-piece Prisoner in Deep Confinement. Ashen Roast also belongs to Fire DoT since this set increases the support one and his personal damage.
Planar Ornaments: Sprightly Vonwacq is your default; the 40% action progress right at the beginning of the battle allows you to place debuffs as soon as possible. If you run DoT teams, Effect Hit Rate scales your ATK in Pan-Cosmic Commercial Enterprise, which is ideal since you are already scaling it.
Light Cone Choices (Realistic Choices)
Obviously, best-in-slot is Those Many Springs (his signature 5-star). It provides 60% Effect Hit Rate and an additional debuff. When you do, your stat distribution is much easier.

Making Sense of Team Compositions.
Jiaoqiu is a very versatile character who can be built in the best way depending on your team:
This is his trademark role with Acheron. Build him as a Harmony support with Sparkle, a sustain character with Aventurine, and pair him with Acheron. Jiaoqiu uses debuffs, Acheron spams her Ultimate, and you clear content at an absurd rate.
DoT Teams: Fall him with Kafka, Black Swan, and Huohuo. The combination of the three of you piles so many DoT effects in such a way that the enemies melt. I cleared this Memory of Chaos cycle with this team.
General AoE Teams: He plays with any AoE DPS such as Serval or Argenti. The vulnerability increase helps all damage types, not just Fire.
Is He Worth Building?
My personal opinion is this: with Acheron, it is hard to imagine without Jiaoqiu. He fixes her greatest weakness, energy generation, and makes her an absolute monster.
If you don’t have Acheron? He remains a strong option for DoT teams, but other supports may offer more flexibility. I’d probably save up for another DPS until you decide how to build Kafka teams.
The biggest hurdle is the stat requirements. A Hit rate of 140% and Good Speed and ATK are the result of weeks of relic farming. However, once you reach those thresholds, Jiaoqiu with the best build in Honkai: Star Rail 3.2 becomes one of the most effective supports in the game.
And the rerun time of Version 3.2 with Acheron is not accidental-the developers are aware of the fact that the two are programmed to suit one another.
