See, I tried at least dozens of leveling methods in WoW Classic, and the opinion you will get most of these techniques is either outdated or so complex that it will confuse you. Here then is what will really be effective when you want to make 60 in three months instead of three.

Choose the Right Class (This Counts More Than You Think).

You see, the point is that your leveling time can be half with the kind of choice of classes that you have. I came to know this myself when I had a hard time dealing with a Warrior.

The fastest solo is by far Hunter. Your pet burns him and you attack him with a long reign. And you also get Aspect of the Cheetah early so that you move faster. My second character is a Hunter and I could not believe the difference.

Secondary choices that are solid are Warlock and Druid. The pet tanking aspect and lifesteal are found in warlocks and travel forms in Druids are a time saving feature. There is one simple trick here, do not exceed those zones 1-2 below your character. You will kill much quicker and die much later. The difference in experience is not worth the hassle of being constantly on the diet pill.

The Mount Gold Grind

At level 40, a mount would require you 100 gold (20g training 80g mount itself). This may reduce to 80g and discounts on reputation.

Start saving from level 1. I’m serious. Sell all grey to the vendor, auction house all the good greens, pick up herbs and ore on your way. It is not necessary to purchase all the spell ranks: a concentrate on the most significant damage skills and neglect the circumstantial ones.

I had to work two days of gold shortage when I reached 40 years old. Don’t be like me. Such mount speed increase is even more valuable than that kind of gear improvement.

Leverage Rested Experience

It is the easy one and most individuals fail at it. Following the inns or capital cities is always good to log out and achieve rested XP. It gives 100% mob kill (no quests, simply kill) bonus that adds up to a 1.5 levels worth.

When you are upgrading several characters, turn them. Play one with the XP you rested when you are using, and then alternating and letting the first one rocket. You are simply leaving this on the table on the part of free experience.

Dungeon Strategy

Dungeons are not always quicker than questing, but they are worth it in the cases when you have all the dungeon quests. Run Deadmines, 16-23 Scarlet Monastery, 30-44 and Zul Farak, 44-49.

The secret: rent a ready-prepared group with somebody who is familiar with the road. Tons of travel time as well as wipes in random groups will suffocate you whereas only questing would be quicker.

Real Talk on Timeline

New players: 15-20 days of played time should be expected. In real-time that is 1-3 months with 2-3 hours per day.

Strategies made by experienced players: 7-10 days played.

Speedrunners that are flawless in their execution: 3-5 days (although, that is an almost full-time job).

It does not need to worry about speedrun times. It is the survival through gradual improvement.

WoW Classic leveling is not a marathon race it is more like a long distance marathon where the knowledge of the road counts. Choose a self-contained class, add an add-on to route It free, spend gold on your mount, and not the most common mistakes that make you spend time.

These techniques have been used to bring me four characters to 60 and each one of the characters got quicker as I gained a better understanding of which tricks count. There is no need to have prodigy play or guides. A good plan and consistency are all that you require.

Now get there and begin to flatten. The level 60 end game content is not going to hang around indefinitely.
