During the Nintendo Direct Mini on June 28, Nintendo confirmed the Switch release for the latest versions of three recent Persona games. Next on the platform will be Persona 5 Royale for PlayStation 4, Persona 4 Golden for PS Vita and Persona 3 Portable for PSP. No official release date has been confirmed for Persona 4 Golden or Persona 3 Portable for Nintendo Switch.

While P5R has an exact release date for other platforms, there is no exact release date for the Xbox or Nintendo Switch versions of Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable. Nintendo Direct ended with a mini-trailer showing that the games are “coming soon,” but it’s impossible to predict whether that will be in a month, six months, or a year.

Persona 4 Gold details and differences for Nintendo Switch?

Persona 4 Golden is an enhanced port of the Persona 4 role-playing game for the PlayStation 2. The game was originally released on PlayStation Vita in 2011 before being ported to PC in 2020.

Persona 4 Golden has many additional features compared to the original version. This includes new social links, new NPCs, new characters, more scenes and events, and the integration of online features that show what other players have been up to during their free time session.

The PC and PS Vita versions of Persona 4 Golden were critically acclaimed. The games have average scores of 87 and 93 respectively on Metacritic.

What is Persona 3 Portable for Nintendo Switch and how does it differ from the PS2 game?

Persona 3 Portable is a modified port of Persona 3 from the PlayStation 2. The game was originally released on PlayStation Portable in 2009 in Japan and 2010 in the West.

The game includes many new features at the cost of many features that were removed due to PSP limitations. FMV cutscenes were removed from the game, and Fox’s “Director’s Cut” version of the game lacked the additional content added in Persona 3 FES.

On the other hand, it has an improved combat system based on Persona 4, new story events and the ability to play as a female protagonist. World navigation has also been heavily redesigned, replacing world navigation with a visually new approach to gameplay that can be used outside of combat.
