Shooting games for iphone: Let’s face it, shooting games are one of the most popular genres of gaming out there. In fact, many of us have been actually introduced to gaming through those age-old classic games such as Virtua Cop and The House of the Dead. They were fast-paced, action-packed and boy, did they give a good adrenaline pump!
However, it is the second decade of the new millennium and shooter games have evolved exponentially over this brief time. Gone is the now laughable animation of Virtua Cop. In their stead, gun shooting games now have a much more elaborate animation style, overarching plot and a better gaming experience.
So, whether you are a beginning gamer looking for safe (and smart) chances to get his hands on an in-game pistol or, a veteran one looking for the ideal optic for your .223 Remington (classic gun, by the way), buckle up. We have got the right cocktail for you!
Let’s start!
Table of Contents
PUBG New State
This is the second part of the now absolutely hyped, iconic game PUBG Mobile. Not only does this sequel improve upon its predecessor with more gaming modes, interactions and generally more advanced graphics, but it is also set up in 2051! Moreover, this does not just mean a change of scenery, but the very way in which the battles are orchestrated. This means futuristic weapons, vehicles, barricades, etc.
Folks, that is the definition of cool!
Modern Combat 5: Blackout
This is the latest edition of the acclaimed first-person shooter (FPS) game series, Modern Combat. The game features a militaristic style, with a console-like experience. Not only are the missions complex and interesting, but it also has multiplayer features, which are pretty varied in themselves. We see this as a win-win situation!
Dead Trigger 2
While it is admittedly an older FPS game, it still is one of the best of its kind. We say this because of the absolutely catchy graphics, and a ton of creatures to shoot at (and preferably kill). Couple it with the fact that it is completely free and is as smooth as the hell it portrays, and you have got yourself a near-perfect gaming experience.
Into the Dead 2
We see another ‘dead’ game as a complete win. Into the Dead 2 is basically an upgraded version with the same name. While being a sort of ‘run and gun’ game, it actually has a very interesting overarching story. And since we are talking about a zombie game, we can guarantee a horror-based FPS bliss!
Bullet Force
Not just engaging, Bullet Force is filled to the brim with fast-paced action. You have custom load-outs, in case you want to customize according to the mode or scenario; you have the ability to switch between being a terrorist and a counter-terrorist (pretty controversial, we know); and four separate gaming modes. Honestly, how could you go wrong with this?
Pixel Gun 3D
This is a unique game. Having almost a Minecraft-like graphic style, it opts for simplicity over elaborative animations. Like so many other games on this list, Pixel Gun 3D also offers both player modes: single and multiplayer. It also features an impressive array of weapons that could be bought. It will not be an overstatement that this game does give you a very distinctive experience! Just remember to lay off that iPhone every once in a while!
Overkill 3
Overkill 3 is the first game featured on this list which is categorized as a third-person shooter game. That’s not the only distinctive thing about it, though. It also features controls that allow you to shoot and kill the enemy without being able to control your movement; rail shooter controls. You will have a whole plethora of missions to do. Plus, you will also have the ability to choose the loadout at the start of the various missions.
Zombie Frontier 3
This game has upwards of 200 levels and 4 major areas – talk about levels of complexity! Here zombies and bosses take the reigns as the bad guys once again. Even though Zombie Frontier 1 and 2 were actually quite good in their own rights, this latest installment overtakes them by miles! The graphics had never been this good before, and neither were the detailed action sequences. Good luck with trying to unglue yourself from your iPhone!
Critical Ops
If you are a fan of the Counter-Strike series, we can almost guarantee that you will like this game. The resemblance is uncanny, whether it is the graphics, gaming experience, or the tons of versatile weapons you could choose from – including guns, bombs, grenades, etc. It is fast-paced and you have the option to enjoy the action besides your player friends, or by yourself. Furthermore, much of the necessary features (in fact the majority of features) are free in the game. Need we say more?
Guns of Boom
Guns of Boom has almost a Fortnight-like graphic style, with its use of loud, vibrant colors and lively 3D outlook. If one word could describe this game, it would be ‘cool’! You can fight with another player, and you will be given access to navigation through a map. The controls are quite easy to learn, and you will have 48 weapons at your disposal! If this doesn’t tingle your shooter-buds, what else possibly could?
Unkilled
Regarded by many as the best shooter game involving zombies, exclusively for iOS, you are in for a ride! New York City is under zombie attack (or control, whichever you prefer) and you are in your savior boots. The graphics are detailed and spectacular, the action is explosive and exciting, and the zombies are interesting to look at – to say the least. You will have about 150 missions to shoot through and also a multiplayer mode to make things even more enjoyable!
So, there you have it! Some of the most acclaimed and beloved shooter games on iPhone. It really is the pinnacle of the mobile gaming experience. Perhaps, the only thing left to do at this point is to just whip out that iPhone and let the shooting begin!
