Why Do My Apps Keep Stopping?

Why Do My Apps Keep Stopping: One of the big advantages of Android is a large number of apps and games available for download. There are millions of free apps in different categories. Although many apps are just alternatives to popular apps, there are enough quality apps out there to meet most people’s needs.

The Android world is diverse in terms of hardware and software. While this brings options, it can also cause problems for app developers who need to code their apps to run on different combinations of hardware and software. As a result, apps can sometimes end up crashing on Android, especially compared to iOS.

Why do apps freeze or crash?

There may be several reasons why apps crash or crash, mainly due to the wide range of chipsets, screen resolutions, and custom skins on Android smartphones.

One of the reasons may be insufficient memory or poor chipset. Applications can also crash if they are not coded properly. Sometimes the reason can also be the custom skin of your Android phone.

How to fix apps that keep crashing on Android?

There can be many ways you can fix an app that keeps crashing on your Android smartphone.

1. Force stop the app

The easiest way to fix an app that keeps crashing on your Android smartphone is to simply force stop and reopen it.

To do this, go to Settings -> Apps and select the application that keeps stopping.

Tap the name of the app, then tap “Force stop”.

Now try to open the app again and see if it works fine.

2. Restart the device

Another way to fix phone failures is to simply restart the device. Restarting the device will kill, then restart the operating system like other devices. Also, it clears the memory when you restart the device, which can help.

To restart the device, press and hold the power button. Now click restart. Some phones may not have a reset option, in which case you will have to turn off, turn on, or restart the phone manually.

3 . Clear app data

If the first two steps do not help, you can try deleting the attachment data. Go to Settings -> Apps select the app to click on “Clear Data” or “Clear Storage”. This will delete all the data stored in the application և you will have to restore it.

This method usually works for many apps and secret messaging apps that look like games.

4. Reinstall the app

If deleting app data doesn’t help, you can try reinstalling the app. Simply uninstall the app and download it again from the Play Store.

5. Check app permissions

Newer versions of Android allow you to deny the requested permissions of applications. Although ideally, applications should work even if you disable permissions, some poorly encrypted applications may simply refuse to run if you do not give them all the necessary permissions.

Although we recommend finding alternatives to these applications, this may sometimes not be possible. In such cases, you must check the application permissions and grant the permissions requested in the application. Go to Settings -> Apps and select an application. Now tap “Download” and enter the ones you previously declined.

6. Keep your apps updated

App developers are constantly updating their apps. These updates include bug fixes that should also improve application crashes. Therefore, it is recommended that you update your applications.

7. Clear cache

Android apps can create large caches based on usage. Although Android is designed to work on its own, deleting data from the cache can sometimes significantly improve the performance of your phone and applications.

To clear the app’s cache, go to Settings -> Storage and tap the cached data. When the dialog box opens, tap OK.

8. Free up storage space

Sometimes apps can fail when storage space is low. You will need to clear the storage space by removing unwanted programs and files. Go to Settings -> Apps to remove unwanted programs and games.

9. Factory reset

If all else fails, you can try resetting your device to see if it helps. Go to Settings -> About Phone and click “Backup and Reset”. This will delete all the data on your device, so make sure you have a backup before proceeding.
