See, I have been running Amphoreus content since the release of 3.0, and here is the fact: you don’t need all the Chrysos Heirs to see through the endgame. But which heirs to fabricate, and to whom will they best suit? That’s where things get interesting.

The F2P Reality: You’ve Got More Than You Think.
What astonished me most about version 3.0, however, was that HoYoverse gave us two good Chrysos Heirs for free. Dan Heng, the Penacony Terrae, is available through story progression, and Remembrance Trailblazer is available upon playing. Freebies weren’t my expectation, but they do apply.
The F2P money-maker that you have is sort of like this: Remembrance Trailblazer + Dan Heng + one damage dealer that you already have + any healer. It is not glitzy, and it pours content. Ice damage and decent sustain are provided by Dan Heng and Memosprite support without devouring your Stellar Jades by RMC.
The catch? You’re limited. F2P teams can tackle the story mode and even a majority of events, but when Memory of Chaos or Pure Fiction kicks into full swing, the weakness will be noticeable. Nevertheless, when you are clever with the use of resources and farm the right relics, then the teams are punching above their weight.
When Spending Changes Everything.
Finally, I dragged Aglaea by her banner, and good me, an intense change struck. She is a Remembrance DPS to which the Romance Coreflame was passed on, and her ability to burst significantly should not be compared to F2P. Put her with a man like Tribbie (had you one) or Sunday, and in the blink of an eye you are sweeping half a wave.
Large-scale team-building brings wild synergies. With Castorice and Evernight as dual PPS, supported by Cyrene and Hyacine, this dominates endgame content because each character feeds into the others. Cyrene is the one who changes the game here.
The individual buffs she provides to each Chrysos Heir can be gained using her Memosprite Skill, and in teams with two or more heirs, her Ultimate will run out of control.
Nevertheless, here spenders must think: not all Chrysos Heirs are what should be pulled. Mydei’s kit needs a certain boost. Phainon requires allies of the Energy Bond, such as Sunday or Tingyun, to roll his Ultimate. When you are randomly drawing, you will have strong characters that do not complement each other.
The Smart Strategy: Multipolar Teams.
You do not necessarily have to whale to compete. I have seen players combine one high-quality Chrysos Heir DPS with F2P supports and still clear endgame. The trick is to know directions and positions. Remembrance units are the best at bursts, Destruction characters are the main DPS, and Harmony supports supplement all other professionals.
When you are on a budget, you would need to get either Aglaea or Castorice as a DPS first and then Cyrene afterward. Not necessary when you have no other heirs, but when you have two or three characters of Chrysos on hand, she will make good teams great.
What Actually Matters
F2P players should save Stellar Jades to add to their top-tier DPS banner, and otherwise, they should invest in maxing their free Chrysos Heirs and then spend that. Meta rating isn’t the only thing spenders should build around. A 5-star randomly selected team will not be as good as a 4-character team that is carefully formed and designed.
The Amphoreus plot goes up to version 3.7, so you have time to pull and experiment with characters using trial modes. Don’t rush. Know which heirs work with the play style you have, which relics you need to farm (World-Remaking Deliverer when you need Remembrance units, Sacerdos Relived Ordeal when you need CRIT-scaling DPS), and know how to build (purposely).
Whether you’re running F2P or pouring cash, team building in 3.0 is more planning than spending. The Chrysos Heirs system gives F2P players a chance to fight and lets spenders optimize without feeling pressured to pull every banner. That balance? Pretty rare for a gacha game.
