All Honkai Star Rail Paths: The Meaning of All that and Why It Matters.

Well, to tell the truth, I did not even see it the first time when I jumped into Honkai Star Rail because I saw “The Hunt” and The Destruction on all fronts and believed that it was merely a flavor text that is so dramatic and loud.

It turns out that it is not superfluous to know all Honkai Star Rail Paths to actually have teams working. This is what I got to know after too many attempts to kill a boss failed.

What Even Are Paths in Honkai Star Rail?

Use Paths as the description of the job taken by your character, being a cool job. Every character belongs to one of eight Paths (occasionally to be nine), and the Path defines what they are constructed to accomplish in battle. It is not simply about the nature of damages but on their role as a whole.

Currently, eight Paths are available that are connected to a Cosmic being known as an Aeon. These are not classes you choose, your personality is permanently put into its Path.

The Eight Core Paths (And What They actually do).

The Destruction – Here I began because the Trailblazer is the commencement of Destruction. These characters are very hard and capable of punishment. They are your bruisers, who can do good solid pugging and yet at the same time, be hit by the enemy. Ideal when you want someone that will not crumble like paper.

The Hunt – Single-target assassins. Hunt characters such as Dan Heng appear when one enemy must be brought out of existence. The crowds, they are not very good at, but bosses, bosses they are good at. Unmatched.

The AoE experts, the Erudition. Himeko taught me that, when you get board with enemies you have Erdudication to clear out the board. They are your providers of multi-enemy stages.

The Harmony Here I committed my biggest error in the early years. I disregarded characters out of support with the idea that the more you get hurt, the more you get to enjoy the game. False. Harmony units can buff your whole team to the wall, and such characters as Bronya can make even average DPS look like a monster. Never skip Harmony.

The Nihily – Debuff and break-dow experts. Kafka and Sampo use nasty effects which peel away enemies. They make good sneakily after you have the complete picture of the fabrics of the dot stacking.

The Motif- Shields and tanks. This Path was opened to me on March 7th, and she maintains your group alive by sucking up the spon. It is not until your healer dies that you make much of Preservation, and your shielder rescues the run.

The Abundance – Your healers. Early content was passed through Natasha. Environ goodness makes HP bars full and that is all. No bling blong, but you will miss them.

The Remembrance The new kid. Introduced in Version 3.0 Remembrance characters call up companions known as Memosprites, who fight by your side. It is having a second member of the team. Baffling this out yet, but it is crazy.

How to Actually Use This Info

The practical one here is: not only do you need balanced teams, but do it here: This was something that I had to experience firsthand when playing three characters of the DPS and wondering why I had no players left.

Your basic team needs:

  • A single DPS (Hunt, Destruction, or Erudition).
  • Safety of mutual trust (Harmony is safest bet)
  • Abundance arguably the most important.
  • A flex spot (typically another support or sub-DPS)

There is no need to worry about the perfect set-up of Path. I have witnessed two Harbony supporting teams win due to the accumulation of buff. The flexible nature – synergy of character is more important in the game rather than strict rules of paths.

The Number One All-Novice Egoism.

Ignoring Paths entirely. I did this. I was forming teams on the basis of the appearance of one character being cool without prior check on whether they would co-operate. That is when I encountered my first real difficulty spike and got killed.

Cross-verify Character Paths and then develop teams. Three damage dealers, no healing, no shields, you are going to have you problems. It is not about that you should play by the rules it is about knowing what your team is capable and incapable of performing.

What You Should Do Right Now

Open your roster. Look at each character’s Path. Question: Does this mean that I have at least one character constructed in at least one of these three areas: Harmony, Preservation or Abundance? Otherwise before going to another DPS, rectify that.

The Path system

affectionately referred to as star-rail is not complex once you understand it. It is nothing but the classification of roles with fancy terms. However, comprehending all Honkai Star Rail Paths really altered my attitude toward the game – and my obvious rates testify this.
