Apple pencil not working: If your Apple Pencil isn’t working, here are some things you can try!

The Apple Pencil was introduced a few years ago with the first iPad Pro; But today, Apple Pencil and Apple Pencil 2 are two different models and every iPad can use one of them. Whether you want to draw, write, take notes, or use Apple Pencil to take precise notes, it has become a favorite tool in the hands of many iPad users.

In most cases, an Apple Pencil (opens in a new menu) or an Apple Pencil 2 (opens in a new menu) will work. But if you’re having trouble with your Apple stylus not responding to apps, disappearing from the battery menu in Action Center, or refusing to turn on, we’ve got some simple tips to help you get started again.

  • If your Apple Pencil isn’t working, it may need to be charged.
  • If Apple Pencil doesn’t work after charging, reconnect it to iPad and try again.
  • You also need to make sure that your Apple Pencil is compatible with your iPad.

Step #1: Install NIBUL

The good thing about the Apple Pencil is that it wears out over time (and it will) and you’ll need to replace it. Every Apple Pencil comes with a replaceable nib. Yes, it can be both changed and weakened. And Open Pencil means the iPad won’t play well with the Apple Pencil.

Make sure your Apple Pencil fits. Recording can be done by turning the knob clockwise. It doesn’t require much effort and you don’t have to work hard. Make sure it is enabled and pinned.

If it works, you have to work again. If not, read on!

Step #2: Restore

Next, we need to make sure that the Apple Pencil battery is charged. It’s crazy, but it happens. Pull down the information center and find your Apple Pencil in the battery section.

If the battery is low or you haven’t used the pen for a while, it may take up to ten minutes for the pen to fully charge and appear in the Information Center. If you don’t know right away, don’t worry; Wait for Apple Pencil to charge.

If you’ve charged your Apple Pencil for more than 20 minutes and it still doesn’t appear in Notification Center, read on.
